Folks: I’ve been struggling with finding ways to finalize projects so they can be burned to DVD or BluRay at the highest quality. To date I *had* been able to export longish projects (20+ minutes) as Uncompressed Quicktimes and then burn them to whatever format I needed – but lately I get...

What is the best way to rip a DVD for import to Avid (we don’t have access to direct capture)? Is there a better way than MPEG Streamclip or Cinematize, or are they still the best way to go? Any recommendations for project settings and for codec to rip to that will generate a high quality quicktime...

Hello- I am trying to export a multicam sequence for DVD. The basics are these: A multicam edit in a 1080i/59.94 project. Obviously I need to get into SD for the DVD. I have tried QT Reference, QT Movie, Sorenson 9 and all look pretty crappy compared to the original SD MiniDV footage I have brought into MC. Best so far was using Sorenson preset for DVD using 2 pass...

Hello. I recently upgraded my system and went to MC 8.0. I do not see Avid DVD with this. Whats the best way to make a DVD with MC8? Thanks for the time and help.

Same here, if I used AMA of AVCHD footage and didn't transcode, I can't make a QT Reference file, instead I make full sized QT and burn DVD or BR from that file. Takes more time but with A+ results.

It was directly into MC using the Analog Mojo, Randall. The output is from a Blu-ray player (SD DVD) through the component output of the player. It was quite a few months ago that I did the capture and from what I can tell, I set the capture duration, started the capture and hit play on the DVD player...

Thanks, Pat. I shall give that a try.
