I'm on a MacBook Pro Early 2015 and have a perpetual license for Media Composer 8.9.2. I'm thinking of updating my OS. What's the latest OS that 8.9.2 is compatible with?

I have a project that was created in Media Composer approximatly in 2006. Will the online supscrition Avid open and work with this project?

Thank you so much for your response. I've never used Avid 2019 or later (all jobs I've been on have been 2018), so I didn't know about UME. The plan was to transcode all the footage on a machine running 2018 or later. In 2018, I usually AMA link, then transcode, then delete the AMA links...

I've been offered a few days on a job where the editor will be using a newer version of Media Composer (not sure which version, definitely 2018 or higher). Would I be able to do Assistant Editor work using 8.9.2 and still be compatible...

But is it fair to say the newer versions of Mac O/S will support much older AVIDs? Quite a lot of other apps seem to continue working un hindered...
