I have the exact same problem with my sony a7 iii. I can background transcode all XAVC-S UHD and HD formats but not AVCHD. I can transcode AVCHD in the app but not in the background, getting the same error message. Any updates?

Since upgrading to version 2020.8, Avid now crashes when trying to play AMA linked AVCHD files in the source monitor. I would like to downgrade to 2020.6, but that version is not listed in the Download Center. -- Michael
