  • Avid Remote Edit Client Monitor

Dear community, we are trying to build up a remote link to one of your HP workstations using HP Z-Remote/Z-Central. We managed to transfer two monitors in high resolution, but the remote editor wants to use his client monitor as well. Is there any professional way to transmit an SDI signal over the internet...

  • How to connect external broadcast monitor

Hi, I just installed Avid Media Composer and would like to run my JVC broadcast monitor (as a grading/qc monitor) via my Blackmagic Ultra Studio 4k. How do I enable it as I can't seem to 'enable' the HW/SW button. Any advice would be great. Thanks so much

The converter seems to be working fine when connected to a camera or davinci resolve. However, when we open avid media composer or protools...

  • Re: bluefish444 lust avid media composer 8.5 compatible?

Hello Tristan, I just noticed your enquiry about the compatability of Bluefish444 cards with Media Composer 8.5. WEll, it's been a couple of years, but someone wants to insert an old SD program into his new HD program. I set up the Sony DV Cam 1500A with SDI out, popped in the tape, set up bars and tone, Ctrl 7 for Capture mode (suprised I rememebered after so long), but when I pulled down the input buttons...

  • Need timecode out via HD-SDI

Earlier versions of MC (E.g. v6) used to output timecode in the HD-SDI output via Kona cards. It's gone in v8! While I appreciate the features in the new version (background rendering, updated application updater, etc.) NOT providing timecode out through playback is a major setback. Can you please...

  • No timecode out HD-SDI via Kona LHi

MC v6 used to output timecode just fine. Now I'm running MC v8.2 with the latest AJA drivers (10.6) and no longer have timecode embedded in the HD-SDI output from my Kona LHi card. It used to work (with v6) but now it's gone! I've gone through and looked at almost every setting in both MC...

  • Re: client monitor

Hi Raas, Higher than HD resolution is not supported in MC 7, forthcoming releases will support UHD. While I do not have experience with the exact model of display that you are looking into you should consider the following. Video modes supported by the display and modes that you will need to monitor...
