I have a job where the 80% of the footage has been shot on a domestic camcorder at 29.97 1440 x 1080 The client wants to enter it to festivals so potentially I need to convert it all to 24p. Would it be best to cut at native rate and then convert later or convert first?

The correct playback rate of the image sequence is 23.976 FPS. However, we wanted to import this image sequence into a 1080i/59.94 Avid project. Our...

24p gives you a better picture for the datarate if you are producing for corporate where most videos are deployed via the web. If you are producing for TV, I would think the video should be shot for whatever frame rate the local TV system uses.

Hiya! I am really hoping that someone could help me with this issue. I have Canon 5D Mark II Footage, along with DV CAM footage, and I am trying to edit the sequence as a 1080p/25 format setting. The 5D footage was shot at 24 fps and the external footage was shot at 25. The footage has a lot of movement...
