Well, I did an uninstall and reinstall of Desktop Video. And it works OK with Blackmagic Media Express (I can capture from tape via the Ultrastudio). I'll try again.

Adding to this as it seems to be similar to my problem. iMac 2019 (an Intel Mac) 40GB RAM, BMD Ultrastudio 4K. Mac OS 11.7.1 (Big Sur). I could capture from tape OK via the Ultrastudio with Media Composer 2021.12.4. Yesterday I went up to MC 2022.12.1 and Blackmagic was greyed out in the Capture Tool (video). Also, the Audio Tool only displayed 8 channels

Update - deactivated and reactivated the KEXT. No good. Uninstalled and reinstalled Media Composer. No good. I have tried with 2021.12.4 and 2022.12.1

Yes to all. In fact I tried it on a second Mac but no go. On my iMac (Big Sur), Eaton had to send me a Terminal command to allow the driver application to open at all. On a Monterey system, installation went smoothly but I can't see the device in Media Composer on either computer ('No Port').

You need not clarify further - I agree with you. If the Link settings are appropriate, the Source Browser should follow along. It does not.

I have never seen it set to 'Ignore' by default. One of my long-standing desires is for the alpha interpretation of an existing clip to be adjusted/modified in Source Settings. Apple FCP7 (remember that?) could switch alpha interpretation of an existing clip all those years ago :-(.

Anyone having success or problems with serial deck control using a Keyspan USA-19HS on Mac OS Big Sur 11.7.1 or any flavour of Monterey? My Keyspan works fine on an older Mojave installation or on a Windows 10 system but not with the two Mac OSs mentioned above. I have had contact and responses from Eaton who sell the Tripp-Lite (Keyspan) device but

Back to square one. New project and these PAL DV clips have a Canon C-log transformation applied. Last time must have been a freak occurence. Why does this happen? Not a peep from anyone at Avid.

I spoke too soon. Must have been a freak occurence the other day. Back testing in 2020.10 again and my DV PAL clips have a Canon C-log transformation applied (which of course should not be there and wrecks the appearance). I could remove the transformation but I'm not going to tell 80 students to do this :-(. After years of working perfectly, why

Having just installed MC 2020.10 on my iMac, it appears that this issue has been fixed, I can't find anything in the ReadMe, but files that were misinterpreted in older versions now display correctly, without the added incorrect Canon transformation. Can't test on Windows yet.
