I am missing the DeckLink_Driver.kext in my /Library/Extensions folder. The other kext files in there are for my Pegasus raid (I believe) I think I'll try another uninstall/reinstall process
Ok, wow, I'm totally at a loss: On our ProTools system (which uses a Mac Studio Max and an Ultrastudio 3G

Aha! That's your problem. BM only works with shoe size 10.25 and below! But seriously; 1) it's possible that the Decklink kext doesn't get installed for a TB-attached device (we have a ProTools system using a TB BM on a Mac Studio, I'll check for you and report back). 2) are you using an APPLE TB 3 to 2 adapter, or a knock-off one? 3

I could capture from tape OK via the Ultrastudio with Media Composer 2021.12.4. Yesterday I went up to MC 2022.12.1 and Blackmagic was greyed out in the Capture Tool (video

I'm the one who posted that tip on the BM Forum (and have posted it here before as well). So, in answer to your question, you only have to do it when you uninstall/reinstall the Desktop Video App. J

Outside of the suggestions for Script Sync, you can also export the Premiere transcript (once translated into captions in Premiere), and export THAT as a caption file, which you can import into a MATCHING Avid sequence, using the SubCap effect on an empty timeline layer. This will, of course, create open captions for that entire sequence, derived from

shot for shot, my experience (using Symphony) is it handles it just fine. Food for thought I guess, J
