What do you mean by "Link AMA your Neoscene files into an AVID bin". I don't know what "Link AMA" means. I opened MC5 then onened the source file seperately, then dragged the Neoscene file into the bin. Immediately, it began to transcode it into some type of QT file. Also, if I transcode my AVCHD to neoscene, then transcode again

The reason I want to use DNxHD 145 is because I was told it was master quality and I need that for my film. Also, I discovered that once I pick a 1080/24 timeline I can no longer choose 145, so my question is, is DNxHD 175 master quality as well? and is it as good as DNxHD 145?

I'm using MC5 and want to edit footage shot on a Panasonic GH1. I need to remove the 60i wrapper on the footage, and was told to use neoscene to do it. The only problem is that neoscene also transcodes the footage to a neoscene avi codec. If this is the only way to remove the wrapper, my question is: Is the DNxHD145 codec better than the Neoscene

Hi guys. I'm new to Avid so please excuse the newbie-ness. If I edit AVCHD footage from a GH1, MC5 automatically transcodes it to DNxHD 145. Would I be better off choosing DNxHD 220 X ? as I want to output at the highest quality possible? My fear is that I will edit the entire feature at 145 and wish I had done it at 220 X
