  • Re: MetaFuze on Windows 7 64bits

Is this still the case? Just downloaded 2.5.0 today and it would crash when scanning folders.

  • Re: AVCHD import

I haven't given ffbmc a try but with 5DtoRGB I get an error along the lines of "the DNxHD encoder could not start and 1440 frame size may not be supported". This is with an MTS file that is 1440x1080. On a side note, I tried 5DtoRGB with an .MOV file from my Canon Rebel T3i/600D and the conversion worked fine, however despite playing with

Any solutions for Windows users? I've been wishing for a Windows version of ClipWrap for a while now...

  • Re: MC 5.5.3 importing AVCHD get slow..

I have MC 5.5.3 on Windows 7 64-bit and I'm seeing similar behaviour where not all the cores are active during an import. Has this been raised with Avid yet?

  • Re: Avid DNxHD Codec Configuration Window

I'm running Media Composer 3.5.1 and have to deal with some AVCHD footage - after much trial and error I managed to get the clips into Avid using Adobe Media Encoder or After Effects to transcode the clips from their native .MTS to an .MOV using DNxHD. As previously mentioned you can navigate the broken properties page but despite the selections

  • FIFO buffer error

I use a Focus DR-HD100 to capture 1080i HDV to .m2t files and these import into Avid with no problems. In the past I would have the occasional FIFO buffer error in the middle of a transition. Recently, I've noticed that I'm experiencing this problem with every project when trying to output. I export back to HDV in .m2t format as well. I've

  • Free audiosuite plugins

I've tried to download some free audiosuite plugins from Digidesign's website but I get the tkpd driver error when launching the Audiosuite window. Does anyone have any suggestions or is it because I need Pro Tools with an Interlok USB dongle for these plugins to work? (Which would mean Xpress Pro's audiosuite support is somewhat crippled

  • Re: Your Favorite DV Cataloging Tools

I use CatDV with Xpress Pro - capture the footage with Live Capture Plus and then log using CatDV and export selected clips to ALE file for re-capture in Avid (batch importing the QT files works too). Unfortunately CatDV does not support MXF, I would like to get rid of the re-capture / import process but I can live with it as I need to maintain an accurate

  • Re: Storing project files on network drive / share

Yes I was also thinking about issues like network timeouts and so forth possibly corrupting the project files. At the moment I use Microsoft SyncToy to perform scheduled backups of the Avid project folder and Attic folder. Thanks for the tip!
