Just wanted to report some success with connecting my M1 MaxBook Pro to the NEXIS|PRO at work. I purchased the Sonnet Thunderbolt AVB Adapter - a Thunderbolt 3/4 to Gigabit ethernet dongle. $149 at Amazon. I'm using MC 2022.7.0.56190.0, Client Version 22.5.0.109, MacOS 12.3.1, and can log on to the NEXIS and mount all the workspaces to the Finder

Sometimes, if the sequence effects are rendered, I find refreshing the sequence doesn't unlink from render files. It's weird, but I step into an effect and see the source has updated but step out and it still shows rendered with the old version. Check your effect icons in the timeline window (if you have them set to display) and if they are

Last I checked the latest Monterey that was qualified was 12.4. 2022.7 ReadMe (page 15) There might be something new with 12.5 that's causing some headaches...

I purchased TotalFX 360 during the sale last month. I already had Essentials and Chroma Key Pro installed for many years on my older intel MacBook Pro, and thought I'd give the other effects a go. I'm very happy they are still offering effects for Media Composer since FXHome killed Ignite Pro. Sure, Boris packages are still out there, but not

I've done a short form project, as well as some quick ins n outs. Performance has been great! Stable, super fluid GUI, renders are very fast, output also very fast. The slowdown for me is the limitations as far as dealing with QuickTimes, MP3s, and Titling, issues which have been around since Catalina. I upgraded from Mojave where all those issues

I happen to have a new MaxBook Pro with 2021.12 installed. I grabbed a talking head interview clip (UHD, 23.976) shot on an A7s III, copied it to my desktop, UME linked, and editing is fast and fluid. So are renders! HOWEVER, the footage I have was recorded in AVC-Intra, not HEVC. So not exactly what you're asking for, but if you get that camera

Bulk Edit in 2021.6 - where is the simple function of appending (adding a suffix) or prepending (adding a prefix) to all selected clips (or sequences) in the bin? MC Help says "...a user can use Bulk Edit to add a prefix or suffix to all selected clips' Names." Find and Replace is cool for removing .Copy.01 and the like, but it would be

Workaround I've been using: If you have the workspace strip up along the right side of one of your screens, click the small triangle to the left of the workspace and select Revert To Saved*. This calls up your saved workspace. I haven't quite figured out the current iteration of workspaces, but at least this gets me what I want and I can keep

Occasionally when I delete a rendered effect from my timeline, the effect icon is gone, can't open the effect editor (so the effect is no longer applied), but visually the effect is still happening. That's when I must mark in & out in the timeline and Clear Renders In to Out. Making sure to uncheck the Skip Motion Effects button as well
