I tried all 3: 85 and 185 gave me a higher cpu load then 120. the final goal was to create a mp4 archiv with 1mpbs - so quality wasn't important and I used DNxHD 120. but even xHD 85 would have been too good :D

I'm noticing a slight difference in cpu load during capturing comparing DNxHD 85 to 120 to 185: 85 & 185 give me a 4-5% higher cpu load then DNxHD 120. anyone else noticing this? hardware: BMD Ultrastudio SDI, USB 3.0, i5 cpu

no problem - just take care: you can't put a mono mixdown to a stereo track and you can't put a stereo mixdown to a mono track. add a new track according to the kind of mixdown you want to add to your sequence.

don't use MC, it's made for editing - not video transcoding & compressing. I use sorenson squeeze, but there are so many apps that will handle this job much better: sorenson squeeze TMPGenc Cyberlink Mediaespresso Arcsoft Mediaconverter a.s.o. all have presets for youtube, google+, .... there are some tutorials in this forum (link 85) http

did you duplicate your old pre-mixdown sequence, delete the video tracks and just edited the mixdown into your new sequence onto v1?

Except from your "extremeley large MPEG-4" everything else sound like a DNxHD 185Mbit clip. what are your media creation settings for render/mixdown? DNxHD 185? when you mixdown your sequence using DNxHD in your render settings and export same-as-source, the resulting file would be DNxHD.

squeeze 8.5 pro? has MXF presets, at least works with other sony AVCHD clips.
