You can play DNxHD QT .mov files if you install the Avid Quick Time Codec in that system.

MPEG STREAMCLIP can convert the .mts to many Avid supported Codec.

You can Convert it to a DNxHD Codec which will import into 2.7.7.

HDV has been Ignored by Avid since begining. I have learned to Capture in Edius > Import into MC > Edit. The downside is loosing the TC.
