Have you tried to link rather then import? If you can link it you should be able to transcode inside MC.

Thanks- I'm calm now... It's just frustrting wasting time transcoding to a flavor the editor will accept. I've gone back to PC for now, will keep an eye out for updates for iOS Catalina. All better now... Leo

MC on Catalina is a JOKE!!!!!!! It hates most file formats for import AND linking! I have been with MC since Avid DV on PC platform, but this uter disgrace on IOS Catalina is sad. Why did you even bother releasing it Avid????????????? When things get better I certainly hope your engineers take a serious look at the current short falls. Disappointed

"If you do have to resort to the TB2 port with the TB2>TB3 adapter, you should connect your drives first and then daisy chain the DNxID off the drives." I need to go TB2-TB3 as stated in your earlier post. The adaptor you show needs a TB3 port doesn't it? I only have TB2 ports... Thanks

After reading Jeremy's comment about the Z4, Z6 & Z8 I called HP back and got a second tech and asked what Jeremy told me. This tech said Jeremy is correct and the HP card I ordered will NOT work in the Z840 !!! He said Jeremy's adaptor suggestion will (should) work. Does anyone have a link to the type of adaptor I need?
