I've found that MC barely uses the GPU, so using an expensive/powerful video card had little impact on performance. Also found the Quadro cards to be underper spec'd when compared to their GeForce counterparts. Maybe this situation has changed with the latest versions of MC.

Also, I beleive we get one tech support call per month now. Maybe they can shed some light on this, or create a case to get it fixed.

I ran into a problem with AMA giving the wrong duration for H.264 a while back, in MC 6 I believe. I found MC had too long a duration by some percentage of the clip's length. What I saw was that MC was appending duplicate frames to the begiing or end of the clip. I could clearly see the repeating identical frames. I would check to see if you see

Also realize that HR is not recognized by as many media players, even if you have the current Avid codecs installed. For example, VLC cannot playback DNxHR but it can playback DNxHD. QT Player will play either.
