I will shortly be receiving a new Mac Pro. What is the most stable least buggy MC version 6.542, 7.03, 7.04 or 8.0? I would love to get other users opinions. Your problem has been well documented since MCC6.0 was released and it still has not been resolved. Matrox and Black Magic hardware does not work well with MC. If your editor prefers to cut from the computer monitor, you should disable the IO hardware feeding the client monitor with the timeline toggle switch. This will make the playback on the computer

You should be able to generate an OMF from MC by first going into the Audio Project Settings window and changing the audio file format from PCM (MXF) to Wave (OMF). I didn't try this for a while but it used to work on V5.5.
