Best solution I've found so far is export as MXF Op1a (via Avid Media Processor) - see image It will still take a while for a 90 min export and the file will be huge. And then encode to some lightweight format for review using a 3rd party encoder.

It's been a while since I've been on v8.5, but it almost sounds like you're double-clicking the top bar of the Bin window. Check your click speed in your Mouse Preferences, so see if maybe it's set to fast/sensitive and is registering it as a double-click?

If you open the Settings > Keyboard you will see them there. Pretty much only the keys that appear "blank" (ie, F1, PrintScn, Sroll Lock, Caps Lock, Enter, Backspace, etc) can not be mapped. The only exception to this is the Tab key. Otherwise, everything on the main level and the Shift level can be mapped.

Is there any particular reason you're exporting a Quicktime file? In the past few years I have switched to exporting as MXF Op1a (via Avid Media Processor) and have been really happy with it. If I need to deliver a different format, I encode the MXF with a 3rd party encoder to whichever format is requested.

You have to drop the .avx file into the AVX2_Plug-ins folder and then launch MC. I'm on a PC today, so I'm unsure of the exact path for the folder on a Mac, but the PC folder is C:\Program Files\Avid\AVX2_Plug-ins So, I would guess the Mac would be something like Applications\Avid\AVX2_Plug-ins

I recommend exporting as MXF Op1a (via the Avid Media Processor) for mastering.

I finally was able to download it today and am using it on my current project. v.2018.12.6
