To be able to work with Prores , an Apple codec , all the way though , you need a Mac , there is no Apple PC support for APR

Doing a digital cut to local / SDI and a Matrox Monarch , as an example , seems to make it possible to work directly with media still linked, so no transcode, and the Monarch unit will create the files for you , you can also send live of course. And this also to other framerates, and downscaling without using FrameFlex, and also with unrendered realtime

Not fixed yet , still on 8.65 for production jobs myself

This question shows up here from time to time Shane , might be time to refresh old workflows , this is a situation where AMA and link doesn´t work , you want to import, to a good high res codec and have settings to not upscale . I have some old tuts about how to do this but we can do a realtime here in this thread.

BCC Uprez does a h+ll of a good job Shane , I´ve even upconverted SD to Bluray without anyone noticing it , if you haven´t tested it yet you might have one more thing on that to do list of yours.

You want to use BCC Uprez directly from inside of Avid

I have suggested , elseplace , to replace the render engine in later Avid versions with the one from 8.65

Just transcode to an Avid codec and render before sending the QT ref out
