Does it make sense?
Yes it makes sense*, and it would be great if we had that on a right click. Speaking of great, your Music videos are wild!!!! Really nice job, what fun. *You might have to make sense out of that freaky farmer vid, though! :)
I really like the use of BOLD and ITALICs - is this for emphasis.. and what was with the nasty comment at the end? Was it called for?
If my comment came across as nasty, it was not my intention. Nonetheless I do apologize.
From the outside the VJ does seem to limit quality
Not following the trend, but bringing a unique perspective. A friend of mine was laid off - about 2 years ago - himself being a multi-award winning producer (bringing in the most awards consistently each year at his station). He eventually found work as a one-man-band or Video Journalist. He did not take the work from

Speaking of Locators AND ScriptSync, one thing that I sometimes do for BRL is create a TXT file of an entire clip's worth of Locators and use that as a ScriptSync document tied to the masterclip. This is just a way to stay in touch with ALL the Locator comments one one page, as well as providing instant match-framing from the script. The Script

Thanks, Kenton. This issue is at least on MC 3.0.5 If it continued on MC4 then I suspect it is part of the older behavior. I don't want to remove dissolves to prepare for basic time-shift tweaking. Keyboard mapped Select-All, then Add-Edit Slicing across a large number of selected audio tracks with dissolves is a very handy way to prepare for a

Thanks Larry, I did check and I am reminded that I never have that setting checked ON. The issue is that while using the M < > ? keys to move a highlighted segment with Filler attached, the Filler is jumping across any add-edit and merging with the next bit of Filler. That ridiculously long piece of highlighted Filler will eventually erase any

I agree- Filler that eats clips is nasty. Here's a low grade GIF demonstrating how a simple Red Segment move a few frames to the left, using the , < key will wind up growing into a giant Clip-eating Filler Shark. Remember- you may never see its damage if your timeline is zoomed in. I *think* this is what you are talking about...

http://community.avid.com/forums/t/79450.aspx What's been asked for above is a pair of SIMPLE keyboard mappables that would effectively press the either the Left or Right Timeline arrow button in order to avoid the mouse "hunt 'n peck" that's required now. Would I also enjoy another mouse-only way to do it? Sure, but please give

I *think* Sony responded to this need with an update that allows the XDcamera to record as a single large clip instead of 150, etc. As I undersrtand it: a setting in the camera during shooting, but not something to help you after the fact. Check with your Sony rep if this feature is available or right for you.
If you turn on Sync Locks, how does that factor into your example of lassoing to nudge?
I use All Synclocks=ON 99.9% of the time. If MC suddenly got rid of Synclocks, I'd be struggling again. Maybe because of that, certain Segment Splices can throw parts ofthe timeline out of sync, despite having
