  • Re: MAC OS X - Leopard

Hi, I just read your posts Ethos. Since you will have a new laptop you might consider right off the bat reinstalling Leopard from the install disc. You would first use the Disk Utility software to re-partition the internal hard drive to have 2 partitions. The second 1 can be quite small (10 to 20GB) and on that one you can install Tiger. The reason

  • Re: question about external hard drives

It may be a networking issue. If the drive is ethernet perhaps you need to type in magic word "alldrives" in your AXP console window? Then close AXP, make sure your OS sees the drive and then reopen AXP. Also how fast is the drive? 7200RPM or better hopefully. There may be some latency with playback.

  • Re: The Bootcamp thread challenge

The Process I Used for Setting up AXP on my MacBook Pro with Windows XP using BootCamp: I started with a MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz with NVidia graphics card, 3 Gig RAM, OS 10.4.11, Quicktime 7.4.1. 1) Using the app SuperDuper I copied my boot drive running Tiger to an external, bootable FW drive. This drive is still capable of running my AXP. It's also

OK, I have some more time so here's what I've done to get Boot Camp up on my MacBook Pro (someone will probably say this belongs on the PC side of the forum ; ) -- I started with a MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz with NVidia graphics card, 3 Gig RAM, OS 10.4.11, Quicktime 7.4.1. 1) Using the app SuperDuper I copied my boot drive running Tiger to an external

I had the same questions and finally just went ahead and did the process over the last few days. So far so good and I'll be happy to share what I did/learned but can you tell me your system specs?

right. Leopard is not supported. Even though Leopard is unsupported you've indicated it's apparently functional for those on the bleeding edge. I'm finally getting around to upgrading to Leopard with Win XP under BootCamp. I'm also making a bootable copy of my Tiger disk image (using SuperDuper to copy it to it's own partition on

Has anyone had success using Sapphire 2.0 on AXP 5.8 in Leopard (10.5.2)?

  • audio track monitoring deselect quirk

Hi, This is just a minor irritant but over the years as I edit audio I occasionally experience AXP deselecting the monitor tabs of all my audio tracks in the timeline (ie, can't hear the audio anymore). Why does this happen? Is there a quick way to turn all the audio monitoring back on without having to individually click on each track? For example
