there is an option for Folder Import as well. I have tried importing both from a local folder with the ENTIRE folder structure copied over (and tried at every level fo the structure to import) as well as trying to import XDCAM from the disc itself (connected through usb PDW-U1 reader/player) with no success. i can't import or AMA link to the xdcam

Thank you for clearing that up. I was concerned because I had a friend who has a software license and had to get the licensed changed and I thought maybe that applied to usb dongles as well. Great news! Long live The Dongle!!!
