I seem to have discovered a flaw in the audio mixdown function. When using imported mp3 files, PART of the audio was missing from the audio mixdown. It would pick up after a bit, but it was always the start of the edited clip that was missing, and always JUST the mp3 file. So, I called it in to Avid and logged a case number. I see that there is a sticky posting for PC bugs, but I don't see the same for the Mac. It's possible that I missed it. Thanks Chris - good to hear that there are others with this audio issue. I think our short-term solution is going to be to simply add an extra 90 seconds of bars and tone at the head of each disc. This will force the extra essence marks to run out before the program begins.
