  • Re: Can the Nitris output P instead of Psf?

'sdi does not support real progressive transmissions' That is incorect. HD-SDI interface, as described by SMPTE292M standard supports true progressive(p), progressive segmented frame(psF) and interlace(i) formats. There are decks out there that REC/PB all three flavors also, like the Panasonic AJ-HD3700B. Nitris box itself works in true progressive

  • Re: Symphony Nitris - multicam playback

Resolutions higher than 14:1(JFIF progressive) or 10:1(JFIF interlaced) are not supported for 9way Multicam on ISIS. Also, the 4way split is guaranteed only up to 2:1. cheers, bogie

  • Re: anybody knows about this error????

Sylvain, You may want to ask for some help from Tewksbury, specifically from the Unity team. They got around this OS limitation long time ago and they are able to intercept and delay Windows shut down sequence until File manager safely saves all the metadata and indexing information. After which, it reports back to the user and allows the shut down

  • Re: MC Upgrade shipping - HEADS UP!

Ahem, if I may... We shouldn't even have this discussion if Avid would have the proper system in place. This should be an automated system, you pay with your credit card and get access to the dongle updater and to the software upgrade download. No humans involved, no shipping costs, no time wasted. And you'll save a tree or two in the process

  • Re: Dolby E on Sysmphony Nitris

'There is no frame delay added as you aren't coding / decoding, just copying a data stream. ' That is correct, however at the playback end there will be a DolbyE decoder that will require 1video frame equivalent time to restore the original discrete tracks and make them audible. Accordingly, a DolbyE encoded track must be 1 frame in advance

  • Re: "old" MOJO for MC 2.7.2

FWIW, your motherboard is the same as the one used by HP in their XW9300 workstation, which although not qualified for MC, it's definitely qualified for Symphony Nitris. No wonder it works with MC... cheers, bogie
