Followup on my issue: For whatever reason, on my MediaEngine, the signature was not 'ME' and the script won't run without it. So I had to remove the checking section from the script in order to force it to run. All happy now, with 16TB extra in the added MediarrayXT. cheers, bogie

be aware that most hdv cameras and decks allow the user to change the format over firewire between HD(hdv) and SD(dv25). Make sure your camera has that menu setting(usually called i-link/ieee1394 conversion) turned off. Avid won't let you capture DV in an HD project. For this particular camera, go to VCR PLAY MENU> SIGNAL SETUP> HD DOWN-CONV

you can still transcode everything to DNxHD36(as you run an underpowered setup), then re-link all your sequences. Use half-good debayer and you should be golden. cheers, bogie
