Don't know the brand name, but at a facility I freelance at I see all these backlit keyboards with missing keys, they do not seem to be very solid. I can check the maker next monday, if You wish.

I take it You do not use an Avid keyboard. Don't know the difference between UK and US keyboards, but if You want all of the shorcuts properly working You'd be better off with a US keyb, or else tell MC about the actual layout and fiddle with the keyboard settings until everything works fine.
