How did you try to get the dongle updater? I had the same issue on one system here this time. Solved by going to My Avid account. Selecting My Products and Subscriptions. Choosing MediaComposer | Software. With that panel open I check my System ID is the correct one for this dongle. In the bottom of that panel choosing Product Details and Download Links
