Hey, I just came across your post when I was researching how to fix my own similar issues. On my system on Windows 10, I'm having the same trouble in Color Correction mode. " Does anyone know if you can save presets in it - cant seem to find a way." Choose your settings and hit Contol-S. This lets you save the preset. Hit the "Star" icon to the right of "Start Function" and a window will open with your presets in it.

Click the settings tab on top of the project window. Then click the user name and choose "create user profile."

OK, quick update. It's fixed unless I actually play the footage, then the colour problem comes back. Rolling back a version!

Same issue here. GTX 1080Ti Unchecking Dual Copy Engine also fixed it for me.

You're absolutely right about it turning into a finger. However, when I'm trying to work quickly I find these visual cues too slow to be useful. Maybe I'll have to resort to turning off rubberbanding until I need it. Thanks a million for your responses and time.
