I meant the Transfer Engine - each AirSpeed has a Transfer Engine running that does file transfers to ISIS and metadata check-ins to Interplay. Additionally, there are Interplay Web Services that do the same thing for 3rd party products like EVS and Vantage. each 3rd party is responsible for building their check-in scheme. My understanding is that it's the transferring mechanism that is doing the updates. An AirSpeed/Transfer Engine is set to check in the first chunk after 30 seconds, and then every 2-3 minutes after that. then it is up to the 3rd party vendor to nail down their mechanism for Web Services.

AMA-Consolidate. if you import from 50Mbs to 1:1, all you're doing is taking up more space on your hard drive, as blowing up a resolution gets you no sharper image than the original.

You will likely need more than 3GB of RAM, and you will need to wipe and re-install your OS - which means you will need your original installers and patches. Avid is no longer able to distribute that version of MC, so you needed to have archived the installers for MC 5.0.3.
