But I found a nice workaround. By copying the .mdb and .pwr files from the original export into the new export the tape names matched and what's event better

Used Resolve to generate MXF media. Imported by dragging .mdb file to bin. Create subclips from master clips. Created sequence from subclips. Back in Resolve created color corrected version and exported new MXF media to to new numbered MXF subdirectory. Took original media offline by moving original numbered MXF subdirectory to new location. Opened

Working with CinemaDNG file in Resolve and decided to try exporting to Avid as MXF in RGB 1:1 10b. Doing this precludes importing as you just drag the mdb file to a folder and your clips appear like magic. The files in Resolve are 0-1024 and when looking at the wave form in MC everything is 16-235 as expected. I think it remapped everything rather than

Really like the MX02 for monitoring in that it can turn any HDMI monitor into a calibrated monitor. But it has been available for some time. Does anyone have a opinion on other newer devices such as the BM Ultra Studio? Again, monitoring is the primary need. I would only be interested in additional capabilities that support a fully digital workflow

You could overlay and blur a tree branch or some foliage with a gaussian blur and move it independently (faster) to simulate parallax. Keith

You should know that if you build a solid video editing computer you will be able to play most if not all the latest games out there should you choose to. Around here the professional crowd recommends that your editing computer be dedicated to the purpose of editing and nothing else, not even browsing the internet. This lets you optimize every aspect

I skip Sorenson all together. I just send my HD video directly to Avid DVD and burn a DVD. It does all the necessary transcoding and the results are very good. I only use Sorenson when going to the web or if I have a large project. kg

It works if you put the screens side by side according to windows but keep them top and bottom physically. Takes a bit of getting use to but it works. Keith
