• Re: MC5 FX Keyframe Re-Design Super Bad

For example, when I used to apply a PIP, I was able to click the Add keyframe button (or in my case, hit the keystroke) in the effects window and it would add a keyframe. Now I'm finding myself having to go into the keyframe graph mode, and click on an actual parameter (similar to AE) then click my keyframe button for each desired parameter change

Has this been fixed in 6.5? What took me literally under 5 seconds now takes a lot longer. I can't just click on my Add Keyframe hotkey even in keyfram graph view. Annoying.

  • Re: Trouble capturing footage

I have had past success capturing HDV in older versions by using an HDV to HDSDI converter and going through the Adrenaline. When I finally upgraded to newer versions though (and started using AJA IO EXPRESS), the capture seems to stop every 6 or so minutes without fail unless I turn off the timecode track in the capture tool. It's quite frustrating

  • Re: MC6 Bugs

I think the 2 biggest bugs on my end are the audio mixdown bug (not accurate mixdown) and the double-click pan not working. I created a new user and it worked once but not again. I read at one point that a patch was due out in mid-Jan. Any update?
it was strange, like saying that trimming or colour correction not was possible any longer with MC 6. Getting media into your editing application is one of the very basics, of course it have to be working. With that beeing said it isn´t working on all systems and that´s the reason to why Avid have specified
A strange question, of course it is supported, I am doing it all the time
He was obviously asking because something he read made him unsure. I don't think it was a strange question.

As I said in another post, I use AJA IO Express. When I try to bring in HDV footage shot on a Z1U (tape) using a HDV to HDSDI converter, the capture has been stopping every 6 or so minutes when capturing timecode. This method goes through the AJA. I do not use firewire in my workflow (except into the converter obviously).

  • Re: Capturing stops

Hi everyone, I have a similar issue although a little different . Since I've upgraded to newer versions of Avid, when I ingest footage from an HDV source, the capture stops every 6 or so minutes. There are no timecode breaks that I can tell. I am ingesting via a HDV to HDSDI converter. That signal then comes through my HDCAM deck as if I were ingesting

  • Re: AF100 & Avid MC6

Thanks. We're happy with the quality of the camera but my question is more directed towards the workflow with Avid as opposed to the camera itself.
