  • Re: chopiness

A couple of more clues: 1) RAM performance is fine on both offending systems [Z400 and Dell T5600] where 8.3 was installed. 2) In addition to said problem, I was also getting more errors that stop playback and say "Your attached hardware is reporting an unexpected frame rate. (etc)...." The AJA settings are correct and are the same they have

  • chopiness

Hi all, Since I've upgraded to 8.3, the desktop playout has been choppy. It's as if I'm applying a 2 frame strobe. Output from AJA IO Express is good. Any ideas? PC, latest AJA drivers, correct quicktime version, playout in full quality, 1080i project. Thanks. Jonathan

I'll play around with the user profiles and look at other suggestions. Yep, VU meters look just fine throughout. Jonathan

Interesting. No suggestions yet. The only thing I haven't done yet is upgrade to 8.3 from 8.2.

  • Audio issues

Over the last couple weeks, there has been a growing problem with my audio output. Lately, especially after sitting idle overnight or even several minutes, Avid will intermittently only play out my left channel of audio. It then finally snaps out of it after a few seconds or minutes - often during the playout. Another symptom being that three times

Has this been addressed 8 years later? We still run into this while exporting a QT ref to Avid DVD.

  • Re: 1080P vs. sf

So does this mean that I cannot output true progressive out of my Avid system? This doesn't sound right. I am using a AJA LHi IO via HDSDI. Thanks

  • 1080P vs. sf

Hello everyone, According to this older article (http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/User_Guide/en384319) 1080P/23.98 is output as 1080 PsF. I am working in a 1080P/23.98 project in Avid. I use AJA LHi connected to a Flanders Scientific CM171. Unfortunately, this monitor isn't very good at all when it comes to Psf. A couple issues irrelevent

  • Re: 7.0.3 Startup Error

Update: It has been fixed. Upon initially installing 7.0.3, an Avid startup message prompted me to update my NVidia graphics driver from 310.90 to 320.78 OR 331.65. Although odd that Avid seemed to give me a choice, I took a 50/50 chance and chose the latter after confirming the compatibility with my card. This is when I wrote the above message. Upon

  • Re: BUG? MC 7.03 MediaTool not showing correct project content

This may or may not be related but I happened to this today (Current Project/All drives) and it brought up some AMA clips unrelated to the project I selected. I had to sort the clips by project to find the clips I actually wanted to display. The others (AMA clips) had no project listed in the Project column. 7.0.3 here
