  • Interlaced media transcode to DNX HR LB?

Hey, I am a edit assistant and have recently ran into the following issue: We have recently changed our workflow and instead of transcoding for offline to XD Cam 35 we now do it to DNX HR LB. This seems to work fine for all projects except for one which is shot in 29.97, Interlaced on a FS7 camera. What happens is that random clips from the cards dont

  • Export video with metadata

Hey there, I was just wondering if there is a way to embed the proxy file metadata when exporting from avid? What I want to do is export video files that would carry their metadata out of avid, would be than imported into After Effects and than exported from After Effects back into Avid. I know that this is a really unusual workflow, just wondering

  • Trim Mode becomes stuck

Hey there, we have recently upgraded one of our editing suites with Avid 2018.7. However, our editor is experiencing the following issue: when using the trim tool sometimes the tool becomes stuck and continues trimming until the end of the clip/labroll. Basically, we have used MXF files for our exports that come out of Nucoda in the default Legal Range color space. However we exported everything using Scale From Legal to Full Range setting. H264, Quicktime

  • Re: Importing TIFF image sequence

Hey, yes sorry, I was not very clear, importing does work but not the AMA link, which we would prefer to use. Have no problems linking to DPX sequences by simply selecting the first file and clicling link, but when I try the same with TIFF images it simply links to that one image and does not recognise the rest as a sequence. There isnt an option to

  • Importing TIFF image sequence

Hey guys, I am working as an assistant editor on a series of film projects. One of my duties is preparing Quality Check sequences for the CG/Sound/VFX departments etc. Up until recently, we were using MXF files to do the Quality Check, but now we've changed the workflow around and aim to use TIFF image sequence (which we use to create the DCP's
