"IndexServer" refers to the service associated with the System Director. I assume that warning means it is running out of system memory. You may need to reboot the controlling chassis or SDA.

AVB is the file extension of Avid bins. It is a properietary format. You will need to open it within Avid Media Composer. It may contain clips and sequences. If sequence, it will contain all relevant associated clips (Set Bin Display - > Show reference clips). You can create an EDL for your audio report. You can also export the sequence as an AAF

You can't project share unless you are using an Avid shared storage or 3rd party Avid File System emulation (Mimiq, Terrablock, EditShare, etc.). Proper bin locking automatically acitvates when MC sees a drive with the Avid file storage system. A simple SMB share of a NAS folder will lead to system conflicts.

From what I can gather, the memory usage with Apple Silicon is more efficient (aka less) than AMD/Intel based architecture. However, note that the memory is shared with the video processor. So in software like Resolve, you can easily consume 4, 8 or 12 GB of memory just for the GPU. That being said, Avid's video memory utilization is fairly low
