I had similar group playback issues working with UHD media in an HD project (both 2022.4 and 2022.7). In my case, the workaround has been to place an "Add Edit" to the group clip in the timeline, usually at a point in the clip when all the media is offlapping.

Hi Ken, I had the same crashing issues with Boris RED last year, but I didn't have a workaround. I reached out to support, and Boris was able to provide a v5.6.3 (unsupported) that was built for legacy projects. It has been working smoothly ever since, all the way through the latest MC versions. Clarification: Resolve will recognize Frameflex effects, with one caveat--you need a keyframe. In Avid, when you make Frameflex adjustments in the bin, the entire clip is affected and no keyframes are created; however, when you make Frameflex adjustments to the clip in the timeline, a keyframe is automatically created. frediko, I'm using it, but I would not define it as stable. 2018.8 and RED 5.6. I rely on RED mostly for moving images, but also some transitions. I run in to the common crash problems found throughout this thread. I've been in contact with Boris, but none of the solutions ever resolved the issue. I'd love to see this resolved.
