How do you access the .m2t files from a tape? I'm confused. So once converted, would you then work within a 720p/23.976 project?

Wait...really??? It is possible to capture 24p HDV? There's been so much discussion on these boards about how slow Avid has been getting a codec for this, I'm surprised I haven't seen any big announcement about it. So it does the pulldown on the fly as it captures?

A long-time supporter of AVID here, and a very happy owner of a Canon HV-30. I don't have much else to add to the conversation other than my name on this 'petition' for getting Avid's butt in gear so I can capture some of my beautiful 24p HDV footage. I'm waiting.

Anyone know if Avid plans to release a version of MC which supports 24p HDV? And if so, I wouldn't have to do any pulldown beforehand, correct?

Just purchased a Canon HV-30, capturing some beautiful images on a $1,000 camera. I shot both 24p and 30p for comparisons. How the hell do I properly capture this stuff into my MC/Adrenaline? It doesn't appear Avid even supports 24p or 30p HDV in the project types. Any insight?
