In the UK there are a number of dealers selling refurbed systems. Most allow you to configure the setup you want and build to order. I'm currently running a very nice HP Z 840 machine for much less than a new system.

I'd recommend buyning a referbed HP Z workstation. They are used a lot in the corperate world and retired withput ever doing much work. Brillaint work horses and Avid supported.

This is a classic destinction between a physical licensing limitation and a licensing agreement term. Avid pyshically enforces just 1 system active at at time. Adobe allows 2 systems to be licenced and active but on the understanding that only one is in use at a time. Many editor just don't engage with the licensing terms that say you use our software

I've just tested on my MC (current version) and I can export an AAF with linked WAV files in it. I can'y#t of course do an AAF and produce a seperate media folder that produces an error and failed export but I can make just a linked AAF to AMA linked wav audio. You should be able to strip the final sequence so it's audio only (or maybe a bid guide as well) AMA link the wav audio files into a new empty bin and then relink that sequence to that bin of wav files (using the second relink option "relink to selected clips in open bins) If the sequence re links fine then you are good to export as an AAF
