HI I have a number of media files in the AVID OMFI files folder on an internal HD. I suspect that this drive is on the way out. Can i merely drag the omfi files from this drive to another drives omfi folder, and then will avid find the files for the edit that it needs to play. Do I need to do anything else like trash any database files to make avid

HI Im going to be making a blu ray disc in avid dvd from a quicktime file given to me by someone else soon. Can anyone tell me when the file is exported to give me from an FCP, what field order should the file be in. It will be shot HDV 25fps and given to me as a quicktime movie, or a pro res. Is this best or should i get it in another flavour. Which

HI. Im Looking at the ram and OS in my machine for when i load avid mc6. Currently only have 4 gig as thats the max the mobo can support. Is this enough for win 7 64 pro and mc6 or do i need to upgrade the mobo and ram, and if so how much ram is needed? I realise more ram is preferable, but how much do i have to have Peter

Hi Larry I havent installed anything yet as i need to upgrade the windows ver before i do. But will my old 5.0.3 still run ok until i install avid mc6. Peter

If I upgrade and get an upgrade serial number, and a new activation Id for mc6 by email, will my mc5.0.3 stop working if i launch it? Ill need to upgrade my OS to win 7 pro 64 next before installing the new mc6, but may need to edit on the old mc before the os change. Whats the score here? Peter
