Thanks for the answer, but it does not work. I do not use the studio tools. I use Avid FX which includes in MC3. Therefore, I install Avid FX with its own install program, but its never fullfil the installation. After successfully installed AvidFX 5.8 on MC2.7, I tried to do the same with MC3. But here it is a full stop. I got the following error message: Feature: AVid FX for AVX 2 Component: DLL AVX File: %ProgramFiles%\ Error: Access denied. In the readme for MC3 is QT 7.4.5 supported and You use QT 7.5. Because it is a play back error it may be caused by QT.

You have the source tapes and you put these tapes to the computer/Avid with the Canon? If this is rigth, you can capture them back to your computer and continue editing.

I tried remote operate the editing workstation one time, terminal server. An export for compression was faulty and I need to do it again. But it ends up that Avid want a dongle at my home, and at the workstation. And I have to take the car to work for make a new export. I will not recomend this solution to serious editing, even if the dongle problems
