The old shortcut was command+W. I did learn this already, but thank you! My example is for the umteen-billion questions I get when somebody else chooses the systems to use. When it winds up with the new interface I get these questions over and over again. Yes, learn the new way... but NO... 30 years+ IDK who is editing what these days but for sure Quinten

I got those links. Very useful. I already knew most of the tricks but the links are handy. I thank you. Thank you all for your help

and again, respectfully. The industry is moving on. To premier pro by Adobe. More and more people are using it. The most people holding on to Avid are the people who used it for 30 years. I can't make it more clear than that.

Thank you Rory, this is great. I'll be sure to try and salvage what I can from these links. To clarify my point which is best exemplified with a simple action. Clicking the X on the project window used to bring me to the project CHOICES window where I can make a new project or open a different project on a partition or the same partition. This no

The new interface is frustrating for talented film editors who have been using the same interface for nearly 30 years. What possessed Avid to flip the script and create their version of a FCPX interface change? It's hideous, cumbersome and clunky. It mirrors what Premiere is today and there's no reason for that. • Groups from Media Composer 2018.12.6 compatibility

We have a series of story editor systems that run Avid MC version 2018.4.0 The Assistant Editors all use Avid MC version 2018.12.6 The story producers that are using the older systems are finding that they cannot click the cameras in the 9 camera split from the PLAY SIDE (LEFT) of the system (green highlighted cameras) to choose which image to cut into

  • Avid License Control will not deactivate my software

Hello, I have this issue with Media Composer's License control program, it will make funny characters where it should tell me ACTIVATED! or DEACTIVATED! I already moved this software from my mac laptop to a PC and then to yet another different PC using the License Control panel, always deactivating it before moving it. This time the version on my

I'm not happy with the fact that I have already transcoded and built a timeline to make items that I create married to field audio using autosync. Not fair to NOT have some post-transcoded way to UNDO this genius tool. I'm sure there's some other way to do what I want to do, but I like the matchback feature for field audio to work a certain
