  • Re: Baselight corrupts user settings

Thx for the reply, Baselight is 4.4.8530 and Matrox drivers are 8.0.0. Just noticed that the artist panel does not have eucon drivers, avid seems to operate without them but could this 'cause the behaviour?

  • Baselight corrupts user settings

Hey, I'm having a problem with Baselight in Composer 8.5.2. Every now and then MC goes into "not responding" - state while using baselight (with artist panel and eucon). Rebooting the workstation helps but until you delete the user settings it keeps repeating. Even when deleting the settings this problem re-emerges. One day the project

  • Re: Persistent P2 import problems

thanks for the reply, we had a guy from avid Finland on the site and he concluded this to be a bug in avid 8.5.2. For some reason avid does not delete the folder that's created when importing and that's the reason why we get old import with the new one. Now I'm ready to come back to this side of the universe :)

  • Re: Persistent P2 import problems

Hey Ralph and thx for the reply, the answer is yes. The same thing happens with all profiles. I'm yet to verify if the same problem exists in standalone since all of those workstations are in interplay. We had a strange thing few days ago. Workstation number 4: Import P2 card (A). Get clips into bin plus the clips from workstation number 2 that

  • Persistent P2 import problems

Hey, I'm having a strange problem with P2-import that started with MC 8.5.2. When using legacy import, you'll get the previous P2-cards clips into your bin with the new import. Just to clarify: Stick a P2-card (A) into the slot 1 import clips to bin take the card (A) out and put a new one in (B), slot 1 import into a new bin now you have clips

  • Re: AMPI SESSION CONNECT OUTPUT ERROR

Started having these after upgrading to MC 8.5.2 from 8.4.2. Error occurs on a regular playback. We have a few dozen of HP Z820 workstations. Is this a confirmed bug as somebody stated earlier?

  • MC 4 project in MC 8?

Hey, if I want to evolve into MC8 species with the ability to continue my MC4 projects, what hurdles am I facing or are those projects fully compatible with the latest software? I'm using Mac, but it's pointles to give out the specs 'cause I need to buy a better one anyhow...

  • Re: Co-install MC with PT versions?

Thank you Marianna for all the help, installed PT 11.2. and its working fine with MC 7.0.4. Finally got the OS X hell cleared. Didn't upgrade to 10.9.4. but stayed 10.8.5 with the edits, didn't want to gamble with clients workflow. What did I learn from all this? Apple has some serious bolts missing from its gigantic head :)

  • Re: Co-install MC with PT versions?

One more question about the original "version" question, I ended up installing PT 11.1.3. in the Macbook Pro that started all this because i found from some document that it supports maverick 10.9.2. and co-install MC 7.0.4. Do you recommend that I install PT 11.2 or stay with the older one?
