Not sure if your GTX1080 issues are related to this, listed in the 2019 Readme: Bug Number: MCDEV-9460. Windows 7 systems with Nvidia Maxwell or Nvidia Pascal cards might experience playback issues that could result in “Play Consumer timeout” errors. Workaround: Select “Disable GPU Effects” in the Render Settings dialog box.

Hi Ralph, I see the full installer package for 8.6.3 was out on the 8th. What I am looking for, is a patch installer against the base 8.6.0 package, as these are much quicker to install. The latest at the Download Centre is patch 8.6.1. Regards, Richard

Another Quadro only feature that has recently been supported by Avid, ( MC 8.5.3 and up), is "Dual Copy Engine", more details of which can be seen here: https://www. nvidia .com/docs/IO/40049/ Dual _ copy _ engines .pdf In practical terms, not sure what the impact is, but could improve effects heavy 4K workloads maybe. It might pay to be cautious if you're running a Window 7 OEM licence, in which case the only way to update free to Win 10 is via Windows Update and then you can do a clean install. Thanks both, I just went back and looked at the Sony PDZK-MA2 3.42 changelog and it mentions: "Support for native XAVC-I implementation in Avid Media Composer v8.3.1 and v8.4." So as you say, Long GOP (XAVC-L) not supported. Regards, Richard
