For me it usually goes like this: First I'm just editing in Avid and I'm getting a random crash, nothing unusual. But when I open Avid again, it crashes immediately. I then open Avid with all bins closed. Then when I open a 'heavy' sequence, Avid crashes again. Opening simple sequences works fine. But especially the sequence I was working

I have the same problem. Sometimes it is solved by opening a simple sequence first. But that often doesn't help either. Since several people have this problem, it seems to me to be a structural problem. Has Avid said anything about this yet?

Close, I'm in Belgium! (What gave me away?) So maybe your advisor would consider the trip. I know this is not the ideal setup, but this one is great for screenings. The best option is of course to have a room to cut and a room to screen. But unfortunately, that's not possible. Or maybe easy to rearrange furniture. But I will think about it.
