If MACs don't use Drive letters? ( Not a MAC person) you are going to have to create a new bin and mount the files again. They will then relink to the clips in the original bin. Then you can delete the bin you created. Not sure what happens when you want to go back the other way but would assume it's a similar situation.

We have found an occasional glitch on MC4 with EX files linked by AMA using MC5. They do relink easily enough though...

Are you running on Windows 7. I think this issue relates to the Connection Manager software which can be flaky using Ethernet with Win 7.

This is not the "All Tracks Centered" bug which started at Version 5 is it? Check you Audio settings. The setting should be Alternating L/R. The default "All Tracks Centered" will raise the combined dual mono level by 3db.

The Roland Website doesn't mention anything about timecode. That means TC info isn't included in the file header. So Avid uses the default timecode start found in Settings.

I have been getting this error when I try to transcode certain EX3 clips as well. But only when they are mounted via AMA from the Unity on ethernet. If I mount from a local drive or card, the file transcodes with no problem. I am not doing any conversion with the Sony Clip Browser. Just copying the card to a number of locations for backup. It has happened

As far as I know, Powerpoint only wants WMV. And depending on what PC and what Windows version, the simpler the better. Some older PCs won't do full HD at all and when encoding it's best not to use the VC-1 Advanced Codec as only the latest Windows 7 machines have that onboard as standard. Also, choose a bitrate and size that is appropriate
