Interplay edition is tied up to your license. There is no way to disable it unless you use a license that's not interplay edition. But on the lock bin issue, i don't think this is related. I would try trashing MCstate, site settings and site attributes first. Also try loading your project with a different user profile.

i just tried this with MC8.4 with a footage i got online and it imported fine here is the link of the footage that i used. http://download.shedworx.com/common/snow.MTS I tried on the MAC BTW

based on my experience, this can be one of two things first, you need to re seat the codec board inside your Nitris or two this is a problem with the codec used in your media that the Nitris doesn't like.

i have a feeling that what you're seeing is a pre-computer or a render. if you mark in and out a part of your sequence and then clear render, it should be media offline now.

i don't know about t7500 but on t7600 the pcie for 3rd party I/o should be on the first slot, right above the graphics card. Is this the same on your case?

did you make sure that the "backround render" box is unticked when rendering? i'm not sure if there is a backround export though.
