I've reached my limit. I've been an Avid user for 21 years. Much of that time I have been a vocal advocate of the software. Unfortunely I have made the hard decision to abandon it. This is incredibly frustrating. With every upgrade I hope that TItler+ will be usable for even just very simple titles. It is shocking that even after so many releases we still do not even have BASIC functionality. It is such a slap in the face to the Avid user base.

Thank you for this. I have noticied this problem regularly happens with RX7 plugins. However I'm also encountering this in a sequence without any of them. I am using the Time-Shift Expansion Audio Suite plugin in some of my problem sequences. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

This is still an issue. Just lost a half hour digging through the attic trying to find a version of my sequence that isn't going to crash avid.

Any word if Avid is declaring this a bug and working on it? The problem seems to be effecting a lot of users. It would be nice to know if Avid is even acknowledging the problem.

Yup, the probem is back for me as well. I just crashed yesterday when Avid tried opening the project and sequence that was open from the day before.

I added an extra 1 GB to the cache and purged all of them. I haven't run into the problem again. Fingers crossed!

Got it! I will experiment with the media cache.

I just want to chime in here and say that I've run into the same problem on 2 of my projects. In both projects 2 sequences are prone to crashing if you try to open them right after starting up Avid. Most of the time if I load a bunch of other sequences first (4 or 5) I can then finally load the problematic sequences. It is very weird and frustrating
