Thanks for the advice. A few questions about the process. I have all my clips organized an labelled in various bins. They all read as offline ever since I deleted the media files. To bring those offline clips online, do I relink the re-transcoded clips? Will this also work for the sequences already in the project?

I was trying to move media files for a specific project onto a new drive, but during the consolidation process I ended up deleting my media files, and now most (strangely not all) of the files in my bins and all my sequences are offline. Is there a way to recreate the media files and relink them? I am in AMC 8 on a PC Thanks for any responses.

Thanks alot. I went through and seemed to be having issues with the clips that had crossfades. I looked back in Davinci Resolve and added more handles to help with the fades and its all cleared up now. Thanks for the advice.

Dear ActionAndrew, I've tried your method and it brought back in a sequence with the clips in the right order, but when ever I try to do anything with it other than scrub I get a warning message "Exception: PMM_INSUFFICIENT_MEDIA" Any idea what it mean or what workarounds I can do? Patrick

Hello all, I work in avid 6.5 where I transcoded down my AMA files to DNxHD 175 to grade in resolve lite 10. I went into resolve via .aaf and went out the same way. Thanks for helping me through this. I tried switching from relinking to the drives and instead relinked to the open bins. Then I clicked ignore file extensions and that seems to have been the path to success. Thanks for helping me get through this. It is greatly appreciated.

I tried with just the sequence, just the AMAs and with both groups together. All with the same result. Unfortunately I do not have the original AMAs I used to transcode. In my research during that state of the project, I had read in a few threads here that it was important to delete them then and link again later during the upres. Was this information

I'm afraid this method is giving me the same dialogue box as the other one. "No clips were relinked." Did I do something wrong way back when I transcoded?

I was able to follow you instructions. But it told me no clips were relinked. It then had some suggestions for me to follow, which I did. It then told me still that no clips were relinked and ran out of suggestions to offer. I chose the relink option "relink by source file name" but would this option work if they are now .new and .sync clips
