We have some video interviews which have in the background, an HVAC controller on the wall behind a person being interviewed. Our client has requested we "brush out" the controller as it "distracts" the viewer. Any suggestions on how to make something like this thermostat on the wall behind our subject disappear?

Here is a simple problem which likely has a simple answer, but it is eluding me. We have footage shot on a Sony 4K camera. When importing the footage into Avid, Avid takes the video plus the 8 audio tracks from the camera. I only have audio on one of those tracks. Is there a way in Media Composer to specify how many tracks of audio to import and indicate

I'm viewing a tutorial on the Boris site that says my subscription to Avid Media Composer 8 comes with a set of free BCC effects, however I do not see these effects in my pallate. How do I get the free BCC effects? Anyone else have this issue?

Marianna, If I can chime in here. We've had some problems on our upgrades to MC8. Install was unsuccessful at first. Hours on the phone with tech support (from India?) netted an uninstall and reinstall with no success. My own digging found the encoding engines were not properly uninstalled even after what the tech thought was a thourough uninstall

I too had licensing problems initially. They issued a temp license which worked for about a week. Something in the new Application Manager triggered Media Composer to be unusable this morning.
