I'm an enthousiastic filmer and film-editor for several years. Just an amateur that since my retirement has time to add more time in this hobby.  Coming from a varity of jobs (Chemistry, System Programmer for ICL and IBM big computers, Information Manager in the end) I still like to be a programmer. I develop Web Pages, learned myself HTML, PHP, Delphi and a lot of other skills). Always busy to study on something new. But I don't follow the latest developments anymore. No Skype, Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter etc. That's for the young guys and girls. And besides my favourite hoby (my wife and kids), I love our dogs (Collies) and cats (Mainecoons). Coming from the early Super 8 movies, through analog video on SVHS-C, made the jump into digital editing when I bought my first Sony DV camera and Pinnacle Studio DV. WOW, that was what I always wanted. I could make movies, edit them, make VO, add effects, repair bad spots etc. Yes, I needed soon a faster XP machine. The first change after some years was the move to Liquid Edition. I was invited to join the Beta test team and in that time I learned very much. Other members of the Beta team were a BIG help for learning more and more. I still have real friends from this time. The EOL of Liquid forced me to make a decision: stay with Liquid or join the new world of MC(4). I accepted the BIG offer for migrating to MC and fell into very deep water. OK, the basics were easily adopted but therefor I did not need to change to MC. No, I was urged to learn more and I bought the needed certified HP Z400 machine with W7. From that moment I was able to really use the facilities build into MC and the other programs. I'm still an amateur. I like to film our trips over the world. It is the kind of being a teacher (which I was not) that I want make the movies like the are reports. Telling the viewer some things about what they see.
