I've just started working on a system with a Matrox MXO2 mini setup.

I just found out that the sync isn't stable when I compare the image from the MXO output to the avid record monitor. Sometimes it plays in perfect sync and sometimes it seems to be 1 or 2 frames late on the avid record monitor. First I didn't believe what I was seeing because I was looking at "normal" film footage and I thought my eyes were getting tired. But then I decided to build a "sync prove" sequence. Where I put 1 frame of white on top of 1 frame of 1000 Hz tone and repeated this every 2 seconds. When I did this it was obvious that every 3rd to 4th time I would hit start/stop the avid record monitor would be 1-2 frames late...

Really weird!

Has anyone else experienced this / can anyone reproduce this weird behavior?

Or maybe somebody knows the secret little switch to make this phenomenon go away?

Hi Per, if I remember correct, 10,6,4 is the certified OS for this.

Also, what are the version of the MM drivers that you are using, the certified ones is 1,92 if I remember correct, it all should be into the Readme

And maybe it could be also the lcd monitor ? Do you use HDMI at 1920x1080 native pixels?

I did some testing and found it to be consistent, but my LCD monitor adds 2 frames of delay and the only way to ensure sync is to take the HDMI decoded audio outs from the monitor that includes the monitor delay.
