When i made a new project with a setting of 1080p 24 and then i imported my videos shot at 1080p 60fps and work this way, does that mean that my videos shot at 1080 60fps are converted to 24p? or my end product would be 24p?
cheers
anyone?

Are you asking this hypothetically speaking. I wouldn't have thought MC would allow you to import 60fps footage into a 24p project. As far as I've experienced, MC does not like to mix framerates but it's fine with mixing resolutions. If you can mix framerates I'd love to know how (I'm still learning the basics of MC).

ok this is what i've done, basically i opened a new project, then i can choose from 1080p 24, 23 then 1080i 59 or the 720p's. for my other project i chose 1080p 24 coz i wanted the film look framerate, next i imported my 60p footage shot with my sanyo hd 2000 and then MC does some conversion. i can do this with any project setting (720p, 1080p 24, 23,) and import my videos. what i dont know is when i import my videos does MC converts my 1080 60p footage to my default project setting?(1080p 24 in my case) i also tried importing my other 1080 30p videos on the same 1080 24 project and i can use it with my other 60p videos but once again i dont know if MC converts all my imported footages to 24p (project settings)
what you cant do is lets say your already on a 1080 24p sequence then you open a bin from a 1080i 59 project and use its vidoes. that wont happen unless you import the same files (or videos) while you have the 1080 24p sequence on. once again i just dont know if when import the same files, does mc do the conversion for you from 60p footage to 24p
!I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE!

I think it does. But I can't imagine it does very well. Don't you have sync issues? Try to export a short sequence, lets say 15 secs, isn't there a flicker/jitter...?
Regards, g_f
no sync issues when editing. i also tried exporting a 1 min sample just to check any flicker or jitter but i didnt notice any. maybe im too amateur to notice it but whats a good alternative to convert a 60p footage to 24p without flicker/jitter? im gonna compare it with the avid exported one and then let you guys know the if there's a difference. i hope theres not it would make editing so much easier
