    Upgrading to a xw4600 Workstation

    Hi,

Currently running MC 2.8.3 on a Dell PC, so I am looking to upgrade to an HP 4600 workstation.

My resellers are all quoting me for a system based on a E6850 processor with an FX570 card. However, I can buy a workstation myself with an E8500 processor and an FX1700 card for less money!!

Both are xw4600 workstations, and the qualified specs do not specify a processor. Is using the FX1700 card asking for trouble or should I just buy an FX570 since that is board listed in the qualified workstation?

    Any insight would be appreciated!

(I don't post my current specs 'cause I'm too  embarrassed!!)

    Cian.
